Play palace is an accessible online gaming platform, offering various card, board, dice and party games. You can find more information about the project on its GitHub repository.

Our server

Play Palace is a decentralized platform, meaning that there is no single central server to connect to. Instead, anybody is free to host their own server.

To join our server, do the following:

1. Download the Play palace client.
   Client last updated: Tuesday, May 19th, 2026.
2. Download our server import file.
   Note: If your browser opens the file instead of downloading, use CTRL+S to save it, or open the context menu on the download link and choose save target.
   If you have downloaded this file before 27th of March, 2026, please redownload it, as the server has been updated to use SSL.
   Alternatively, if you are comfortable manually entering server data, instead of importing the server, enter the following details into the server manager:
   • Server URL: wss://sebastijan.net
   • Server port: 8888
3. Once you open the client, activate the advanced button, and choose import server profiles.
4. Browse to the server.json file you just downloaded and import it.
   Once you confirm the import, you will have a list of servers in the file. Find the item that says “Nikola’s Play palace server (new)”, and press Space on it to select it (it will play a higher pitched sound if it is selected). Once it is selected, press “Start import” to import the server.
5. Once you imported or manually added the server, you will need to choose your user account data. Go to the servers and accounts tree view, find the server you just imported in the list of servers, and choose add account to Nikola’s Play Palace server to add an existing account, or register on Nikola’s Play Palace server to register a new account.
6. When registering a new account, you will be asked for your username, your email, your password and your bio (tell the server administrators a bit about yourself so they can make sure you aren’t a spam bot). If you are adding an existing account, you need to enter your username, password, your email, and any optional notes to describe your account (these notes are not sent to any other players, they are just your personal reference).
7. Assuming your data is valid, you can now connect! Pick your user account in the tree view of servers and accounts and press Enter, or activate the login button to connect. You can start enjoying the games!
